Paleontologist Neil Shubin was inspired to write "Your Inner Fish" after teaching a human anatomy class and fully grasping how human anatomy reflects our ancestry with fish. He is a co-discoverer of the famous 'missing link' Tiktaalik fossil. Overall, the book is mainly another delve into the history of life, with the exception of a chapter about the quirky results of humans being modified descendants of knuckle walking primates, of reptiles, and of course (further back) fish. The book is rather short, and as someone who has read a great deal on Evolution, I found that there was very little in here which I did not know. In essence, if you are just beginning to learn about evolution, go ahead and pick up the book. Otherwise, you may as well skip it and simply read the best and most original chapter online here.
